The new TZM Global Website has been re-designed to focus the visitor on the most relevant projects and news relating to The Zeitgeist Movement. Please read below to quickly familiarize yourself with the new interface and its difference from the old website.
Please note that all features might not be enabled as of yet [Oct 18th]
The Front page offer a series of dynamic elements to quickly inform the user of what is happening, along with some basic interactivity to contribute. Apart from the more obvious elements, such as the Main Menu, the Auto Translation and Search, the first element of interest is the "Latest Posts" Rotator.
"Latest Posts" : This element simply features a handful of the most current issues of priority, such as upcoming Radio Shows, major events, new Press Releases and the like. It will be updated every few days on average depending on the level of activity.
"Red Menu": (To the right of the Latest Posts )The logic behind the Red Menu is to focus a new visitor on core connection issues. This includes joining their Local Chapter reviewing our Quick-Start Guide and becoming apart of our Mailing List so they can stay informed.
"Blue Menu": Below the Red Menu (and the linked icons of our most active Social Networks), the Blue menu contains mostly linked Sites that TZM Global recognizes and interacts with. Most notably is the "BlogSpot" which is an important source for user interaction and submission for our Press Releases, News-Letters and the Like. Other sites include our annual TZM Media Festival & ZDay sites; our Interactive Media Project; Zeitnews (Technology Team); TZM Social (dedicated to providing a universal hub for many common Social Networks); and more.
"TZM Updates: To the far left of the Blue Menu resides the dynamic Updates Tabs. These 5 tabs essentially express the most dynamic data outputs TZM offers.
-Radio Shows: This Tab lists, in order of release, the five latest weekly Radio Shows from TZM Global Radio
-Press Releases: This Tab lists, in order of release, the five latest Press Releases.
-Blog Feed: This Tab will Feed real time posts coming from TZM Blogspot where user participation is constant.
-Audio/Video: The Tab will feed the latest uploads coming the our TZM YouTube Channel.
-News Letter: This Tab lists, in order of release, the latest NewsLetters in both PDF and Online Form.
"Education": This small list to the right of "TZM Updates" is set to feature critical lectures, meetings and other highly relevant educational videos. This also connects with the TOOLKIT which features not only such focused Videos and PDFs, but many downloads to assist in activism and awareness as well.
"NewsWatch": Below "Education" is a set of links to top current News stories which are relevant to TZM. This typically includes issues regarding economic & social issues and technical solutions.
IMPORTANT: at the bottom of this list is a "Submit News" link. **Please help us promote the most notable news by sending it to us!
**Regarding the Global Forum: One major change which has occurred from the old site to the new site is that there is no Public Forum.(hence no Moderators). It was found that the major positive of The Forum was the posting of relevant data, usually in the form of News. We hope the posting of relevant news can continue but rather as a direct communication to TZM Global through this NewsWatch feature - so we can post it for everyone to see on the front page.
**Comments Section: However, a "Comments" ability is being considered for posted articles, where users may sign in and post their views on articles. We feel between these two features (Data Submission / Comments Posting), the Forum's purpose is being for-filled, minus the general community conversation, of course. For that, we suggest TZM Social and the other network sites; along with, if in operation, your Local Chapter's Forum.
"Media Project": This simple, dynamic widget (below "NewsWatch") feeds the latest Visual material from our Z Media Project website. One can click through to view the new postings.
"Current Town-halls": To the right of the Media Project Widget is the most recent list of Featured Town-halls, listed from top to bottom - earliest to latest. At the bottom is a link to how a Chapter/User can submit their coming event.
