Public Notice:
As of May 2023, The Zeitgeist Movement has disbanded all Global administration in favor of full decentralization.
While chapter formation and regional activism has always been independent without the need for approval from any administrative authority, for the past 14 years certain regulatory processes and “main event” sanctioning (IE the annual Zeitgeist Day) have required such formal administration. This is no longer the case. Future Zeitgeist Day events will be local by nature and promoted via social media platforms without central focus and those seeking guidance are encouraged to engage the diverse online community and existing materials.

We wish to thank all those who have donated their precious, volunteered time over the past 14 years in such administrative tasks!

For those new who wish to learn about TZM and/or participate in our educational movement toward a more sustainable and socially just future, there is a wealth of literary and audiovisual work on this website and related channels. If you have questions, engagement via social media, and other community platforms/forums is encouraged.

What is The Zeitgeist Movement?

Founded in 2008, The Zeitgeist Movement (TZM) is a sustainability and public health advocacy organization. The focus includes recognizing that the majority of the modern world’s social problems, including mounting ecological crises and destabilizing economic inequality (oppression, poverty, conflict, corruption, etc.) is not an inevitable outcome of our civilization. Rather, TZM sees these issues as consequential symptoms of an outdated social system.
